Table QR ordering for restaurants: how it works
4 min read
With table QR ordering, guests scan a code on the table, see your menu with photos and order from their own phone. Your staff spend less time taking orders and more time serving.
1How it works for the guest
- Scan the QR on the table with the phone camera.
- Look through the menu, choose options (size, sugar, ice…) and send the order.
- Order more any time — everything goes on the same table bill.
2How it works for your team
Each order arrives as a kitchen ticket with the table number. The kitchen marks it ready, the waiter marks it served, and the bill adds up by itself.
3Start in one afternoon
- Create your tables (A01, A02…) and print one QR for each.
- Put each QR in a stand where guests can see it.
- Test it yourself: scan, order, and check the ticket reaches the kitchen.
- Show your staff “ready” and “served”.
4Paying at the end
When guests ask for the bill, print it from the table map with your KHQR on it, or take cash. The table is free again for the next guests.
5With EasyInventory
- A live table map: free, busy and waiting for the bill — at a glance.
- Join tables for a big group, with one bill.
- Reservations and take-away numbers in the same screen.
- Table QR ordering comes with the POS and Premium plans.
💡 Add one short line on the QR stand in Khmer and English — “Scan to see the menu and order” — and first-time guests will try it.
