How to accept KHQR payments at your café or shop
4 min read
KHQR is Cambodia’s national QR code for payments. One code works with almost every banking app — ABA, ACLEDA, Wing, Canadia and more — so customers can pay you without cash. Here is how to set it up and use it safely.
1Get your shop’s KHQR
Ask your bank for a merchant KHQR. Most banks can make one in their app or at a branch. When customers scan a merchant code, they see your shop name before they pay — that builds trust.
2Show it where people pay
- Print the QR at least 8 cm wide and put it on the counter.
- Add the same QR to your printed bills, so customers at a table can pay too.
- Keep a spare copy in case the stand gets wet or torn.
3Check every payment before the customer leaves
A screenshot is not proof of payment. Always look at your own bank app: check the amount and the time. In busy hours, turn on your bank app’s sound notifications so you hear each payment arrive.
4Record it the same way every time
Write down whether each sale was paid by cash or by bank. At the end of the day, the bank total in your records should match your bank app. If it doesn’t, you find the mistake the same day — not at the end of the month.
5With EasyInventory
- Upload your bank KHQR once in Store Settings — it prints on unpaid bills and invoices.
- When a customer pays by KHQR, choose Bank in Add Sale.
- Reports split Cash and Bank, so closing the day takes a minute.
- Table bills can show your KHQR, so guests can pay right at the table.
💡 Put your KHQR next to the price list. Customers who see it early get their phone ready before they reach the counter, and the line moves faster.
